*This event will be held in-person (maximum 50 registrants) and will be streamed on Facebook Live using the Assiniboia Chamber and St. James Assiniboia 55+ Centre's individual Facebook pages.*
The proposed project involves an expansion of the St. James Civic Centre with an approximately 14,000-square-foot addition. This includes several multi-purpose program and meeting rooms, as well as dedicated administrative space for St. James Assiniboia 55+. Additional facility renovations include improvements to the auditorium, main building entry, washrooms, and development of a community kitchen.
This town hall will highlight:- the multi-generational facility supporting the recreation corridor in West Winnipeg
- the support from the business community
- the goals of the St. James Assiniboia 55+ Centre
- the timeline - where we are at and what needs to be done to get this project moving forward

The Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce is committed to holding events that adhere to all current public health advice at the time of their occurrence. All rules and guidelines will be in practice at all our functions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. At all events:- physical distancing will be in place with visual markers
- hand sanitizer will be readily available
- mask wearing is optional, and is strongly encouraged unless mandated by public health
- registration is mandatory for all events to limit indoor gatherings; no walk-ins will be allowed at this time (maximum participant numbers will be in accordance with the public health orders of Manitoba)
- attendees will receive an email closer to the event date that reminds them of the Chamber's event protocols and those of the participants closer to the event date via email
